Elio’s Quartet [EQT]

Elio Piedra's Quartet (EQT) is the winner of the International Jazz Festival in Havana, Cuba. The group was founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Quartet's purpose is to introduce an innovative mixture of styles and sounds, ranging from Smooth Jazz, Gospel, Swing, and Funk, to Classical Music. The Quartet's roots lies in AfroCuban Latin Jazz, from which they derive their unique rhythms.  EQT consists of talented musicians Livan Mesa on piano and keyboard, Junior Arrant on saxophone and keyboard, Tebelio Fonte on bass, and Elio Piedra on drums. All of these musicians have enjoyed a successful career in the music industry, nationally and internationally. They have had the opportunity to perform in a variety of venues, such as television, music festivals (Montreal Jazz Festival, Vancouver's "Carnaval del Sol," and Jazz Plaza in Havana, Cuba). They have also had the opportunity to share the stage with music stars and Grammy® Award Winners such as Paquito de Rivera, Luis Enrique, Arturo Sandoval, Chuchito Valdes, Jennifer Holliday, Bobby Carcaces, among many others.
